G TM workers are expected to report to work after reaching an amicable agreement

TZANEEN -The workers under the banner of South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU), have been on a week strike in protest against the implementation of the main collective agreement that regulates leave encatchment. The municipality has been under the regulation of the collective agreement that allowed workers to sell their leave days to the municipality.
After the executive of the Municipality has decided against the existence of the collective agreement, the workers wasted no time to implement a municipal shutdown that has affected the services rendered by the municipality to the communities of Tzaneen.
GTM Spokesperson, Neville Ndlala has informed Tzaneen voice, that workers representative and the management of the municipality have reached an amicable agreement on November 17,  that all workers are expected to report to work on November 18, and socities of Tzaneen should expect the resumption of all municipal services by Wednesday.
