Funeral services of three family members who died in a vehicle crash on their way to attend graduation underway

BURGERSFORT-Hundreds of mourners have gathered at the Mafolo household at Motlolo village in Burgersfort where the funeral of three accident victims is underway.

Jacob Mafolo, Metron Sekgoka and Kamogelo Mafolo all died when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a truck on the R37 road last weekend.

The trio were en route to the University of Mpumalanga in Mbombela for the graduation ceremony of Kgomotso Mafolo.

Speaking to Polokwane Weekly on Saturday, family spokesperson, Thomas Mafolo said that the mood is very sombre at home.

He says the untimely passing of the three family members affected not only Kgomotso but the entire family.

Jacob was described as a man who loved education and always encouraged his children to get educated and was very happy about the graduation of Kgomotso.

The 67 – year old was also a Pastor at an Apolostic church in Motlolo.

Kamogelo, a 21 – year old TVET student is among those who died in the crash alongside a 27 – year old Metron Sekgoka.
