POLOKWANE-Four people lost their lives in a devastating collision on the N1 this afternoon near the Manyathela curve, a well-known stretch of road between the Sasol garage and Baobab Toll Plaza in the Vhembe District.
The crash involved an Audi Sedan and a bus. Tragically, the driver of the Audi and all three occupants were killed on the scene. Passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries and were treated for their wounds.
Authorities quickly responded to the accident, and the scene has since been cleared. The Manyathela curve has long been regarded as a dangerous section of the N1, raising ongoing concerns about road safety in the area.
According to the Limpopo Road and Transport the exact cause of the collision remains under investigation. Officials have urged motorists to exercise caution, particularly on high-risk routes.
