Elizabeth Mabulana (63), who is a former general worker at Kgahara Primary School in Lenyeneye is at loggerheads with the school principal and SGB following a pension payout of R3000.
Mabulana was serving as a general worker at school since April 2010 earning a monthly stipend of two thousand eight hundred rands (R2800) and UIF deduction were one hundred and fifty rands(R150) per month. In the event of retiring, the complainant claims she was eligible for a payout of eighteen thousand rands (R18 000), however, only received three thousand rands(R3000).
“The school management was never honest from the onset. I served as a general worker from April 2010 but documents from the school state that I worked from November 2012. I fought tooth and nail to correct this and get what is due to me but I failed. My calculations tell me I was supposed to receive R18 000 after retirement. Where is the rest of my money? “, Mabulana fumed.
She further stated that she was a dedicated employee, who worked from 6 in the morning until 6 in the evening until she retired in 2021. “Someone must account because I won’t rest until I get what is rightfully mine”, she added.
The school principal Rufus Maenetja was contacted and he requested a meeting with the complainant who refused to attend the meeting citing that she is done talking and only wants what is due to her.
Thabina circuit manager Collin Ndou referred the publication to the school principal when contacted for comment.
