Five family members who died in horror crash to be laid to rest today

HAMASKRAAL-Five members of the Tlometsane family who died in a horrific car accident along R101 between Mookgopong and Mokopane will be laid to rest today, February 18.

The mass funeral will take place at the local cemeteries on Sunday. The memorial service waws held on Thursday 15th at Lefatlheng village.

The Moretele community is struggling to come to terms with the horrific incident plunged the entire village into melancholy.

Spokesperson for the family, Dan Tlometsane said that the untimely incident has left the family traumatized. “All what we can do is to cry non-stop”.  He said that 5 members of a single family, “is just too much to handle, no matter how much strong you are”.

“The sad news reached us in the evening when it was dark, a few days later, we are still covered by darkness with a lot of unanswered questions,” he said.

According to the reports, the beriefed were traveling in a sedan when they collided head on with a delivery vehicle along the  Mokgophong towards Mokopane.

He said the family received a call on Sunday, 11 February that Kagiso Phillimon (42), who had visited Mokopane, Limpopo, had fallen ill, so four family members decided to go and fetch him.

All five deceased members are from Lefatlheng village in Hammanskraal and were identified as

1. Klaas Sello Tlometsang 64

2.Selaki Elizabeth Tlometsang 60

3.Kagiso Phillimon Tlometsane 42

4.Hendric Gontse Tlometsang ,who was the driver when the incident occurred

5.Thabang Samuel Tlometsane.

The family left behind four children.
