The South African Department of Education has issued an announcement regarding the problem of Matrics at public schools that are expected to be writing their exams on 05 November to 15 December 2020 as a combined exam.
The Department of Basic Education which is led by Angie Motshega has finally started up with the plan and issued the timetable because it stated that the candidates as they have already missed the May and June exams because of the national lockdown in South Africa.
This came after they realized how important it is for learners to revise their work before writing final examinations. The statement says: “The Department of the exams will give matriculants adequate time to cover the curriculum and also allow time for revision.
“As over 1.1 million candidates have expected to take a seat for the 2020 combined matric exam. Candidates registered for October to November National Senior Certificate will receive an admission letter listing their subjects and Exam Centers by the end of September. The results are going to be issued on the 23rd of February 2021.
