POLOKWANE-A female suspect arrested for dealing and possession of drugs, at R101 towards Modimolle on Tuesday, 31 October 2023 at around 18h00.
The Police received information about the suspect transporting drugs with an Opel Corsa from Hammanskraal to Modimolle.
The described vehicle was spotted driving along the R101 towards Modimolle, the Police stopped and searched the vehicle, thus recovering 800 sachets of nyaope drugs at the value of R20 000.00. The female suspect was immediately arrested, and her vehicle was also seized.
A case of dealing and possession of drugs was opened for further investigation.
The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe welcomed the arrest and lauded the police for their relentless efforts in removing drugs within Limpopo communities.
The suspect will appear before Modimolle magistrate’s court soon.
