MOLEKETLA VILLAGE- The community of Moleketla woke up to the devastating news of the death of a father and daughter.
It is alleged that a 40-year-old man killed his 02-year-old daughter by strangulation and attempted to kill his other daughter aged 07.
It is further said the man thereafter allegedly hanged himself at Moleketla village in Bolobedu area on Good Friday.
“The suspect, who is now deceased, visited his two daughters and told the family that they are taking and later he indicated he was going to kill them and switched off the phone.
The Police were called and along the way, they were stopped by community members walking with the bloodied surviving 07-years-old child.
The child took them to the spot where the incident happened and on arrival, the Police found the 02-year-old child already dead from apparent strangulation and the father hanging from a tree”, said Limpopo Police’ Spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.
He further indicated that preliminary Police investigations revealed that both children were allegedly staying with the mother’s family and the mother was in Gauteng and she separated with the deceased.
The deceased was trying to reconcile with the mother with no luck.
