BOLOBEDU- The Limpopo Department of Social Development confirmed that the children of the missing educator are receiving psychological support. Dikeledi Karel Sebopetsa(32) an educator at Lerale Secondary school in Bolobedu went missing on September 22, reportedly while on her way to work.
The department of social development spokesperson Witness Tiva said that social workers were dispatched to the family after the matter was brought to their attention.
“We will, however, conduct a follow-up visit and also ensure that we continue to provide psychosocial support to the family. We will also consider referring the matter to psychologists,” said Tiva.
According to Sebopetsa’s uncle Zondi Masenamela they have been telling the youngest daughter that her mother has left home for work purposes.
“Now she can see that we are playing mind games with her and it is very discomforting. At least the 16-year- old daughter is there for her younger sister but one can see that she is very affected by her mother’s disappearance,” he said
The Preliminary Police investigations revealed that the victim called her uncle on Wednesday, 23 September 2020 and requested a substantial amount of money to be transferred to her bank account and he complied.
