POLOKWANE: The first step of having a Tzaneen – based football club in the Premier Soccer League starts with the final of the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League.
This as Lebapola will face an enormous task of going against Mpheni Home Defenders.
This clash is for the right to represent Limpopo Province in the ABC Motsepe National Playoffs in June.
The final is set for Saturday May 18th, at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
The permutations for Tzaneen United to play in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, which is under the Premier Soccer League ( PSL ) are simple ; defeat Mpheni and reach the finals of the playoffs.
Mpheni Home Defenders, undoubtedly the favorites heading into the clash will also be relishing the opportunity to return to the Playoffs, after missing out on promotion last season.
The winner of this crucial clash will go up against the Provincial Champions in nine provinces, with two sides that will reach the final, gaining automatic promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship in the 2024 / 25 season.
