MOPYE– The community of Mopye in Bolobedu is reeling in shock following the tragic murder of an elderly woman allegedly by another elderly woman on Friday.
According to reports, the two women were involved in an altercation near the Makubye River around midday.
In the heat of the argument, the suspect allegedly struck the victim with a stone.
Emergency services were called to the scene but, sadly, the woman was declared dead upon arrival.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and police investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause of the dispute.
The suspect was arrested on the spot and is expected to appear in court on Monday to face charges related to the incident.
