STEELPORT: Eight mineworkers have been killed in a horrific accident accident involving a bus and truck on the R555 road.
The accident happened between Lavino and Tubatse in the Fetakgomo Tubatse municipality this morning.
It is alleged that a speeding bus overtook and crashed onto truck that was carrying workers from Mototolo Mine.
The workers were ejected from the truck onto the roads, causing multiple fatalities and injuries.
Eight people were certified deceased on the scene while two sustained serious injuries with six more workers having escaped with moderate injuries.
