EFF member who was electrocuted to death while putting up posters laid to rest

JANE FURSE: An Economic Freedom Fighter member who died while on duty was given a dignified funeral by the party on Saturday.

Lekometse Monama ( 42 ) was electrocuted to death while trying to balance on a pole that had an open cable with live current in eMalahleni, Mpumalanga.

The funeral was attended by the party’s Treasury General, Omphile Maotwe.

Taking to X on Friday, Party leader, Julius Malema expressed messages of condolences and support to the family of the deceased.

The Statement on the party’s X page read as follows:

“Rest in Revolutionary peace Fighter, we are grateful for your service and sacrifice, and your memory will forever be cherished within our ranks.”
