Driver Rescued from burning car After Losing Control and Crashing Into Tree on R71 Gravelotte

GRAVELOTTE-A driver was rescued from burning car after it lost control and hit a tree on the R71 road, few metres after JCI Mine towards Gravelotte under Ba-Phalaborwa, on Thursday, morning.

A Nissan NP200 lost control, veered off the road, and collided with a tree. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to erupt into flames.

Fortunately, a group of nearby farmers who witnessed the accident acted swiftly and rushed to the scene. They were able to pull the injured driver to safety, narrowly avoiding the fire that quickly spread throughout the vehicle.

Their quick thinking and prompt action are being hailed as heroic, as they prevented a potentially fatal outcome for the driver.

Emergency services were alerted shortly after the crash, and the driver eventually received medical attention.

The authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, though details remain unclear at this stage.
