MAKHUBIDUNG-Dr. CN Phatudi Hospital, in collaboration with SAPS, is seeking the family of a Zimbabwean man, Trust Chuma, who was tragically killed in a mob justice incident at Vivian Mafarana village in Greater Tzaneen.
Chuma was brought to the hospital on November 21, 2024, after being severely beaten by a mob. He was transferred to Polokwane Provincial Hospital, but died from his injuries on January 17, 2025.
With no date of birth, next of kin, or further information, authorities have struggled to trace his origins.
Recently, a search in the village found his friends, but they were also unaware of his background. The case remains unresolved, and it appears that Trust Chuma may be buried as a pauper.
Dr. Phatudi and SAPS are pleading for the public’s help to locate his family and bring closure to this heartbreaking case. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
