RELELA VILLAGE- Economic Freedom Fighters Parliament Member, Khosi Mkhonto has cautioned the communities not to be fooled in the name of late Nelson Mandela for votes, during the party’s localised manifesto launch.
This was said during the Economic Freedom Fighters localized manifesto held at the Relela Sports Ground in Bolobedu South on Sunday afternoon.
“Mandela is long gone and let us not be fooled by voting ANC for Nelson Mandela” Mkhonto addressed over 35 wards of Tzaneen in attendance.
EFF committed to construct ward-based libraries and clinics
She went on to say the EFF-led government will abolish the tender processes and the municipalities will hire qualified personnel to work rather than appointing illiterate and unqualified people to do community projects.
“Our municipalities have a lot of money but because of this perfectly grafted scheme(tenders), our societies remain in absolute poverty with inadequate services while tenders are awarded to ANC members” she added.
Khosi Mkhonto accused ANC of being in cahoots with the tenderpreneur on the ongoing stealing and damaging of water infrastructures in the Mopani district.
The regional secretary Isaac ” Bazooka” Hlungwana said the party is committed to construct ward-based libraries and clinics.
The EFF currently has 8 proportional representatives (PRs) in all the municipal councils in Mopani District and will be looking to increase their numbers on the forthcoming Local Government Elections on 1st November 2021.
