PHALABORWA-The incredible Boccaine Monareng (23), better known as DJ Candy Floce, is a musical genius whose calling as a deejay came at a very young age.
Driven by his passion for mixing the decks, this resident of Parys in the Free State is on a journey to reach great heights of success. DJ Candy Floce is from Ga-Selwane outside Phalaborwa.
“I started music at the age of 10, inspired by my big brother. I started pursuing this music Career last year 2020 by releasing a love-inspired song “udenza shushu” and later released “Papa” which is an emotive song,” DJ Candy Floce explained.
The versatile, eager, and enthusiastic DJ is currently working on an EP featuring some of the local artists.
However, he said that music allows him to communicate with people and touch their souls. “I didn’t allow music to be just a hobby to me. I have always had this norm of not listening to music in just an ordinary way but in a more sensational way. I would love the society to also experience this sensational feeling I’m feeling when listening to music,” he added.
DJ Candy Floce said he always had a strong belief that music has the power to change one’s mood in just a snap of a finger.
“Music is not only the instruments that come along with harmony, but it is also similar to love, it can heal,” He concluded.
He further mentioned that for a healing and soothing experience through music, he invites people to attend one of his gigs, to allow his set to speak directly to your soul.
