NKOWANKOWA-As the price of diesel continues to soar due to economic instability, fuel has become a precious commodity. Thus, some motorists have resorted to illegal ways to fill up their tanks.
It is reported that a man driving a double cab was caught on camera stealing diesel at Benzulani Engen’s garage in Nkowankowa on Thursday night.
It alleged that the man requested R9000 diesel and sped off without paying.
Police have cautioned about this trend and said that it has become popular as reports of this nature surfaced at several stations in Tzaneen town.
The suspect is being investigated and sought after by police.

Meanwhile, the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy announced another fuel hike starting in March.
Diesel motorists would see something between a 28 and 29 cents per litre increase.
