MAKHUSHANE- Democratic Alliance’s rescue South Africa campaign was held at Makhushane village in Phalaborwa on Friday, May 10.
Hundreds of community members filled up the community hall to listen to the address by their Leader John Steenhuisen.
In his address, Steenhuisen outlined his plan to rescue the South African hub from ANC corruption and misrule.
“If there is one person in this country who is guilty of treason, it is Ramaphosa. He committed treason against our flag by plunging millions of children into hunger and malnutrition while he spent R139 million for food on board his VIP jet”
He further said that there are 5.4 million unsolved criminal cases that have been closed under Bheki Cele and the ANC’s failed leadership of the SA Police Service.
“DA has the plan to halve violent crime, they will devolve policing, put more boots on the ground, integrate tech, and uproot corruption”
Dephney Malatji a resident of Makhushane says John Steenhuisen has come to save them from corruption in Phalaborwa as they are facing challenges of service delivery in Makhushane daily but nothing is being done. She says they lack basic services such as water and even lack of job opportunities. Malatji said
“Jobs in Phalaborwa are given to relatives and those who can afford to buy them she hopes that John Steenhuisen will change this should he win the 2024 national elections.” she concluded
