ACORNHOEK-On Wednesday, September 4th, a truck carrying a large load of oranges overturned on the R40 road near Ga-Josefa village, situated between Acornhoek Mall and Casteel.

The incident led to significant traffic congestion in the area, as the truck blocked a portion of the road.

In the aftermath of the accident, local community members quickly gathered at the scene, helping themselves to the scattered oranges.

While this unexpected bounty was welcomed by many, it created further challenges for motorists, who had to navigate through the crowd, adding to the already difficult driving conditions.

Authorities have advised drivers travelling between Bushbuckridge and Acornhoek to use alternative routes to avoid the scene and the ensuing traffic delays.
