MARIVENI-A suspect who has allegedly been terrorising Mariveni villages, in Greater Tzaneen, was caught by the community and beaten to a pulp after being found in a house stealing at Mariveni D on Friday.
The man was subjected to a beating by various people, with one passer-by getting visibly upset and throwing every object at the suspect.
Police were called to the scene and arrested the suspect on a charge of attempted theft of goods.
An ambulance was also called to treat the suspect’s injuries.
The police are yet to confirm the incident.
