Malamulele-The Mayor of Collins Chabane Shadrack Maluleke unveiled Four Tuk-Tuk vehicles which will be used to transport Municipality bills to residents as part of collecting revenue.
Speaking to the media, Mayor of Collins Chabane Maluleke said, “Four tuk-tuk vehicles be used to transport Municipality bills to residents as part of collecting revenue amid the ongoing load shedding crisis and closure of Post Office which makes it difficult for the Municipality to send bills to the residents.
In addition to the Tuk-tuk the municipality unveiled a Compactor truck that will ensure that illegal dumping becomes a thing of the past in Collins Chabane Areas
“We purchased this Compactor truck to alleviate the refuse removal pressures felt by residents and businesses throughout the Collins Chabane area,” said Collins Chabane Municipality Mayor Maluleke Shadrack.
“with the difficulties we’ve been experiencing sending bills to our residents as a result of load Shedding closing of the Post Office, we had to come up with a way of sending bills to our residents,” Maluleke added.
The mayor continued to say from now onwards we shall be going house to house using our tuk-tuk vehicles and delivering bills so that revenue is generated.
