GIYANI- An 11-year-old boy died after drowning in Ritavi River in Giyani on Wednesday, September 20 at Ngove village under Giyani municipality.
Giyani police station communication officer Sgt Ridgewell Rikhotso told Tzaneen voice that the police were summoned to Ritavi river by the deceased’s uncle.
Once the body was retrieved from the water, paramedics declared the boy dead,
The deceased was identified as Tebogo Kulani Mahasha residing at Ngove village.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are not known at this stage, a case of inquest at the scene of the crime.
All stakeholders were summoned to the scene of crime and the postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of this unexpected death of elderly man and Young boy.
