Bolt driver found stabbed and half burnt by three teenagers laid to rest

MANKWENG-A Bolt Driver and a University of Limpopo, BA Translation and Linguistic graduate, Mashohli ” Tshepo” Mankgela aged 30 was attacked and stabbed to death by 3 bolt teenage clients who requested from Polokwane to Westernburg has been laid to rest this morning, 21 October 2023 at Mamotintane village outside Mankweng.

Rufus Mashohli Mankgela was still furthering his educational studies at the University of South Africa.

Many of his fellow bolt drivers were gathered in numbers to support one of their own and to pay the last respect.

According to Limpopo Police Spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the suspects requested a Bolt metered taxi on 08th October 2023 and along the way, stabbed the driver to death, burned and dumped the body near the Place of Safety Shelter in Polokwane on Monday, 09th October 2023.

The vehicle which was driven by Rufus was found abandoned in Ladanna.

The first suspect aged 17 arrested whilst 16 and 15 other suspects were arrested after they were handed in by their parents at the Police Station the following day.
