BOLOBEDU MAN ACCUSED OF KILLING GIRLFRIEND

BOLOBEDU SOUTH – Residents of Mopje Village are still shocked, following a gruesome killing of a woman on December 26. Nancy Selemo (28), was stabbed to death by her boyfriend using a pair of scissors at about 03:30 in the morning.
Her lifeless body was discovered by her uncle, it is alleged that the police and paramedics declared her dead on the scene.
According to the police report, it is alleged that the pair were heavily drunk from Ga-Malatji tarven at Kubjana village where they celebrated their Christmas day together. On their way home, the couple had an argument which resulted in a fight where the suspect pulled out a pair of scissors and brutally stab the deceased several times on her body until she died.
The source close to the deceased informed Tzaneen voice ,that Steven Mahlatse Rapelwana (28) was a side boyfriend to the deceased.
“Nancy had a boyfriend and Mahlatse was her side boyfriend” the source explained.
The police report further mentioned that, It has been alleged that the suspect was recently released from prison with parole for a murder case he committed.
The Tzaneen police services, confirmed through a media release that the suspect was successfully arrested on the same day and appeared before the Bolobedu magistrate court on Monday, December 28.
The suspect was remanded in custody and his case was postponed to the January 04, 2021.
