PHALABORWA – Baranuka High School held a heartfelt homecoming celebration to honour one of its own, Regina Lebeya, after she was crowned the Winner in the Excellence in Secondary Teaching category at the prestigious National Teaching Awards (NTA).
The celebration took place on Friday, October 24, 2025, and was graced by the Lulekani Circuit Manager, Mrs. M.E. Ntsan’wisi, alongside learners, teachers, and proud community members.
Lebeya arrived at the school behind the wheel of the brand-new car she received as part of her prize, greeted by loud cheers, ululations, and applause from the school community.
The event was filled with joy and pride, symbolizing the power of perseverance and passion in education.
Her win not only shines a national spotlight on Baranuka High School but also serves as an inspiration to teachers across the country. Ms. Lebeya’s journey is a testament to the transformative impact of dedication and excellence in the classroom.
