MOREBENG – A gruesome discovery has left the community of Eisleben in shock after a badly burnt body was found at the Makgatho sports ground in Botlokwa on Thursday, 01 May 2025.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) responded swiftly to the murder scene after being alerted by residents.
Upon arrival, officers found the remains of a person burned beyond recognition, lying on the ground within the sports facility.
Due to the severity of the burns, police were unable to immediately determine the gender or identity of the victim. The motive behind the attack remains unclear at this stage, though authorities have not ruled out the possibility of mob justice.
A case of murder has been opened, and investigations are underway. Police are appealing to the public to assist with any information that may help solve the case.
