PHALABORWA-The Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality has announced that its Municipal Manager, Dr. KKL Pilusa, has been placed on precautionary suspension following a Special Council meeting held on Thursday, 19 September 2024.
The decision was officially implemented yesterday, 25 September 2024, as part of an ongoing investigation into administrative matters.
In light of this suspension, the Council has appointed Ms. JB Selapyane, Senior Manager of Corporate Services, as the Acting Municipal Manager with immediate effect.
The appointment is aimed at ensuring continued and smooth operations within the municipality during the investigation.
The Council has assured stakeholders, residents, and the broader community that it is “business as usual,” with all municipal services functioning as expected. Updates regarding any urgent developments will be shared with the public as necessary.
The municipality has reiterated its commitment to transparency and effective governance during this period.
