TZANEEN- The itchy customers will have to wait a bit longer for the ‘first purchase’ as delays hit the opening of the new McDonald’s restaurant in Tzaneen.
Although the new Tzaneen McDonald’s food outlet building looks complete and ready to welcome customers, its doors will remain closed for services until further notice.
The restaurant’s grand opening is delayed because Mopani District Municipality, as a fire safety authoriser, has not yet issued the restaurant with a fire safety approval, which led the Greater Tzaneen Municipality not to issue an occupational certificate.
According to a source with intimate knowledge of the situation, told the publication that once the authorities issue the required permits, the food outlet will be ready to open.
Since the local newspaper broke the rumours of Mcdonald’s opening doors on the 15, Friday, many customers in and beyond Tzaneen were ready to flock to the restaurant for purchases.
The new but not yet opened Mcdonald’s restaurant is located along R71 road just next to Sasol garage in Tzaneen.
