MOPYE VILLAGE-A 36-year-old Ethiopian male spaza shop owner was robbed of undisclosed amount of cash from his daily takings and blue Samsung A30 cellphone at Mopye village in Greater Tzaneen.
It is alleged that the victim was sleeping at his rented room when he heard the sound of his burglar door breaking on Tuesday, August 16 just after midnight.
Tzaneen Police Communication Officer Sgt Maurice Nkhashu said the door breaking was followed by men shouting for him to open the door then the firing of gun shots.
“Three men clad in masks and hats entered the rented room with two of them brandishing firearms. They ransacked the house demanding money from the him”
The victim was robbed of the money, no injuries were reported during the robbery, Tzaneen saps are investigating a case of House robbery.
