MODJADJISKLOOF-Police arrested another male car smuggler suspect on Thursday 07 March 2024, in the Modjadjislkoof policing area.
The 44-year-old South African Citizen was cornered driving a Toyota Rav 4 on the R81 road, intended to be smuggled out of the county through the Beitbrige border post.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle was hijacked at Brooklyn in Gauteng province on Monday 04 March.
“This arrest sends a clear message to those engaged in illegal smuggling activities that the SAPS remains committed and capable of disrupting their operations. Our officers continue to demonstrate exceptional skill,” said Lieutenant General Hadebe.
The suspect appeared before Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 08 March 2024.
