Angry mob torch Burgersdorp house after suspects rob Xiseveseve at Myakayaka village

BURGERSDORP-Angry residents burnt down Burgersdorp house of a suspect who they believe was behind the robbery of Xiseveseve at Myakayaka village in Greater Tzaneen.

It is reported that the  Xiseveseve team had gathered at the premises of one of their members before they were ambushed by suspects.

It is alleged that at about 13.30 before they could share their monthly contributions, suspects appeared and took all the money before they fled the scene.

The incident happened on Saturday, July 08.

When the news broke out to the community, a group of people decided to search for the suspects in Burgersdorp and surrounding areas.

When they arrive at one of the suspects’ house his family allegedly defended him and the mob decided to torch the house.

No one was injured, and no arrest has been made at this stage.

A case of arson was registered under Maake Police and an investigation is underway.
