POLOKWANE– The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) Norman Mashabane region, led by Nhlamulo Mabunda slammed the requirements needed for the post of Youth Development Director, through a media statement released on February 9, 2021.
The post was advertised earlier this month, which indicated that all applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of working experience, 5 of which must be in the middle management level.

REJECTED: The Youth Director Post
The Norman Mashabane ANCYL Region described the post requirements as an impediment for many young, dynamic, vibrant, energetic graduates in the frontline of the continued battle against unemployment and poverty.
On February 11, 2021, The RTT Youth league delegation, met with the director-general in the office of the premier, Nape Nchabeleng to express his feeling towards the advertised post. The meeting amicably agreed that the advertised post will be recalled for requirements amendment.
“The office of the Director-General has committed to address our issues and avoid putting an impossible to attain experience for the young people,” Mabunda said.
He further informed Tzaneen voice that, their biggest push is to have as many people as they can in the managerial positions.
The youth league feels that 2 to 3 years experience is sufficient for the senior management position, but condemns 10 years required experience.
