LEPHEPANE-An alleged house robber took on more than he bargained for after he was cornered and arrested, during a Lephepane village house-breaking attempt on Thursday, June 15.
The suspect was caught with a television set during a joint operation between the Community Policing Forum (CPF) and Lephepane patrollers, with police reinforcements arriving in time to arrest the man.
It is alleged the suspect is not only stealing but terrorising the community by assualting women.
It is reported that the suspect is from Topanama Village, according to the police the suspect is expected to appear before the Ritavi Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of housebreaking and theft.
