JOHANNESBURG – Preparations are complete for the much-anticipated National Day of Prayer, taking place this Sunday, November 30, at the FNB Stadium.
Motsepe Foundation Chairperson Dr Patrice Motsepe and his wife, Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, visited the stadium on Saturday for a final inspection ahead of the major interfaith gathering.
Their visit forms part of the last round of preparations to ensure the venue is ready to host thousands of attendees.
The National Day of Prayer is recognised as one of Africa’s largest interfaith events, bringing together people from diverse spiritual, cultural, and racial backgrounds. Now in its fifth year, the gathering aims to promote unity, healing, and social cohesion across South Africa.
The event will feature leaders from various faith communities, musicians, and social influencers, all joining in a collective call for peace and togetherness.
The public is invited to participate in the prayer day from 8:00am to 5:00pm. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be broadcast live on TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, SABC 2, and SABC+.
