BA-PHALABORWA– A 27-year-old woman was shot and killed last night, November 19 at about 21h15 at Grey Flats in Phalaborwa.
The victim was with her male companion in front of his flat as they were from a nearby restaurant, upon arrival at the rented flat, an unknown suspect approached the pair and demanded cellphones. Meanwhile, two other suspects also arrived and demanded cellphones and a handbag.
The 35-year-old male partner allegedly fled and the three suspects remained with the victim. They then shot her dead, took two cellphones and a handbag, and fled on foot. The deceased has been identified as Lufuno Deborah Mulaudzi.
Police in Phalaborwa have launched a manhunt for the suspects.

The incident happens just a week after another young woman was murdered last Saturday in Namakgale Zone C in the Bosveld area.
A Community activist Edmond Mbetse expressed his dissatisfaction over the spate of death in the area and has called on all stakeholders and police members including Police minister Bheki Cele to come forward and assist the community.
