A WhatsApp voice note leads to the arrest of a Woman who is allegedly involved in the murder of her husband’s baby mother at Moleketla, Bolobedu

MOLEKETLA – A woman was arrested on Friday in Tembisa for allegedly hiring hitmen to kill her husband’s baby mother in Bolobedu south. 

A 31-year-old woman Michelle Masekela was shot 3 times in her side chest in full view by an unknown hitman on her way from church, outside her home’s gate at Moleketla village on Sunday, May 5.

According to a source close to the family, the Police investigations uncovered WhatsApp voice recordings of the baby daddy’s wife threatening the deceased that she was going to kill her and was then pointed out as a prime suspect for ordering a hit on Michelle and was subsequently arrested.



The deceased was shot on her home from church at Moleketla village.

” The Police uncovered through the deceased’s mobile phone that on the day of the shooting, the wife sent the deceased a WhatsApp voice note telling her that today referring to Sunday her last day and that startled the deceased to leave the church before it knocked off” 

A woman from Relela village in Bolobedu, who’s known to this publication is still held in Tembisa Police custody and awaiting to be transferred to Tzaneen, on the accusations of hiring hit-men on her husband’s baby mother.

According to the eyewitness who spoke to the publication, the hitmen who were driving a white Polo Sedan with no registration plate at the back, stopped across the road from the deceased’s home and one of them pulled off and then fired three shots on the deceased, who was then certified dead on the scene.

It is said that the deceased took the baby daddy to the maintenance court after failing to support their child but pulled a no-show on two occasions. 

Michelle will be laid to rest this Sunday in Moleketla village.
