A Spaza shop owner robbed undisclosed amount of money by five armed men

POLOKWANE-Namakgale police are hard on the heels of five male suspects who committed a house robbery incident that took place at a local tuckshop on Monday 03 June 2024 at about 02:00.

According to police reports, a 34-year-old male was sleeping with his uncle in one of the rooms inside the tuckshop when he heard voices outside the premises. The victim went outside to investigate and was accosted by five unknown male suspects wearing balaclavas.

The suspects pointed the victim with firearms before demanding money and cellphones. The victim was taken to the tuckshop and subsequently robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash and items that included three cell phones, flash, Wi-Fi, cigarettes and groceries.

The suspects fled the scene on foot afterwards, with the stolen items. A manhunt for the five male suspects who are currently unknown is underway.
