POLOKWANE: The Police in Dennilton are investigating two cases of murder, following an incident that took place at Malaeneng village, on Saturday, 04 November 2023 at around 22h00.
According to information, a 29-year-old security guard, booked a firearm at work and went to a 40-year-old man who is his colleague from the same security company. Upon arrival, he found only his wife, and threatened her with a firearm, she then told him that her husband attended a wedding in the same area, and he then left.
She shouted for help and went to his neighbour and informed him. The neighbour took his firearm and followed the security guard.
Allegedly, a security guard aged 29 shot at a 40-year-old man who is also a security guard and then a neighbour aged 66 shot at a security guard aged 29.
Police were alerted about the shooting incident at Malaeneng village. They arrived with Emergency personnel and found two males lying in a pool of blood on the street with gun wounds.
They were certified dead and identified as Chris Mahlangu (29) and Mpho Mothoveni (40).
A 66-year-old male was arrested for murder and police opened two cases of murder for further investigation.
The arrested suspect will appear before Moutse Magistrate’s Court.
