A man stabbed to death with a broken beer bottle in a tavern

POLOKWANE*: The  Police in Westernburg have launched a manhunt for an unknown male suspect for allegedly killing a  fellow patron outside the tavern at  Sepshego Extention 78 in the early hours of Sunday 24 September 2023

According to the information two male patrons had an altercation while in a Tarven at around 23:50 when the  (30-year-old) man was stabbed in the upper body with a broken beer bottle by an unknown male suspect and the victim ran out of the Tarven and was later found dead on the street.

It is reported that the Police received a complaint of murder, next to the Tarven and upon arrival they discovered the body of the male person in a pool of blood. He was later identified as Aluwani Sikwari by his family.

The Police immediately activated a massive manhunt for the suspect responsible for the murder.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe condemned the incident, calling upon those who witnessed the incident to provide information to the Police.
