POLOKWANE: A 26-year-old man was arrested for attempted rape of a five-year-old baby girl, the incident occurred at Northarm on Saturday, 04 November 2023 at around 23h00.
According to the information, the complainant who is the victim’s mother was sleeping in a separate room, when she heard her daughter screaming for help. Upon, checking on her she saw a guy who is known to her, undressed and her daughter was also naked.
The suspect threatened the victim’s mother before he ran out and disappeared in the dark.
The incident was immediately reported to the Police. A case of attempted rape was opened for further investigation.
The suspect was traced and arrested for rape.
He will appear before Northam Magistrate’s Court soon.
