GABAZA VILLAGE-A three-year-old minor was allegedly raped by an unknown suspect, her mother only noticed her baby when she saw a discharge coming from her private parts.
It is reported that the complainant alleged that on Friday, January 26 at around between 18:00 and 19:00 when she left the victim’s home alone and when she came back to bath surprisingly the victim complained about some pains in her genitals.
It is alleged that when the complainant checked the victim’s genitals she saw blood stains and some fluid-like substance.
It is reported that the victim was taken to the nearby hospital for medical examination, and the results came positive that there was penetration.
The case was reported at Maake Police Station and transferred to the Tzaneen Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Unit for further investigations.
Police confirmed that the complainant who is the mother of the victim is undergoing counselling and the victim is undergoing treatment.
Tzaneen police FCS have launched a manhunt for an unknown male suspect of rape. Anyone with information that can assist in the apprehension of the suspect should contact the investigating Officer Lieutenant Colonel Isaac Mahlane at 082 469 2625.
