TAOLOME VILLAGE- A case of rape has been registered at Mokwakwailap police station after a 13-year-old girl was raped in a Bottle store in the wee hours of November 18 at Taulome village.
According to the information received, the victim alleges that the suspect dragged her and assaulted her and pulled her to the back of the bottle store where he raped her.
It further alleged that the victim then called her relative on 24 November 2023 and informed her that she want to talk to her personally then on the 25th November 2023 the relative came home from Gauteng and that is when the victim broke the news to her that she was assaulted and raped.
The Police in Mokwakwaila request that Mohale Selowa from Taulome village avail himself to the Mokwakwaila SAPS Police Station to assist with the investigation or also call Branch Commander Warrant Officer Nthai Modjadji on 060 996 0062.
The Acting Station Commander Warrant Officer Nakampe Maunatlala condemned the incidents and said that he now understands that it’s exam times he is surprised that those who are supposed to be home studying are the ones who are the victims and it concerns him why parents let their children go to drinking places than to concentrate on their studies he further urged parents to take care of their kids as than to let them come around and he further said steps will be taken against the tavern owners who let underage kids be there instead of studying.
