8 Armed robbery suspects on the loose after ATM bombing in Burgersfort

POLOKWANE: The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has ordered an intensive manhunnt for a group of armed suspects who blasted an ATM at a local filling station at  Burgersfort in Sekhukhune District on 25 September 2023 at about 01:00 and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to reports, about eight suspects, their faces covered with balaclavas arrived on the premises and fired some shots outside the Kiosk shop before they stormed into the Temba filling station where they blasted an ATM.

The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in an unknown motor vehicle.

During the incident, two victims sustained injuries due to the effects of the blasting and were transported to a local Hospital for medical treatment.
