NAMAKGALE: A 39-year-old man was allegedly gunned down during business robbery on Saturday, August 27 at the Vibe Liquor Restaurant in Phalaborwa.
According to the information received, the employees at the said Liquor Restaurant were about to knock off duty when unknown suspects armed with firearms accosted them and demanded money.
The victim who was a Chef, was shot while approaching his vehicle by one of the suspects. The other victim went back to the store with them and gave them money available and they also robbed him packs of cigarettes and fled.
The Police and emergency services were called and upon arrival, the 39-year-old victim was transported to the local hospital. He later succumbed to the injuries at the hospital. He was identified as Trevor Ngobeni.
