MOOKETSI: A 29-year-old man was robbed of his belongings on Wednesday, March 08 at about 17h50.

The 29-year-old victim alleges that he was hitchhiking on the R36 road Mooketsi towards Tzaneen CBD when a blue Polo hatchback with two men and a female companion in the back seat stopped for him and a fellow hitchhiker.
It further alleges that after passing the Great Letaba Dam towards Tzaneen the driver deviated from the R36 saying they are no longer going to the Tzaneen CBD.
The male passenger in front took out a firearm and pointed it at the victim demanding his backpack.
The victim was then robbed of his Acer laptop, power bank,I’d , driver’s licence, retail shop card and an undisclosed amount of cash over R400-00(four hundred rands ).
A case of Armed robbery was opened at the Tzaneen police station.
