POLOKWANE – A 36-year-old male driver was arrested on Monday, April 7, for traveling at 185 km/h in a 120 km/h zone on the N1 freeway near Bela-Bela.
Authorities have issued a stern warning to motorists, highlighting the dangers of speeding, especially during the build-up to the Easter long weekend.
“Reckless driving will not be tolerated, particularly during the Easter holiday period. Slow down and arrive alive. Let’s work together towards the shared goal of Every Day Without A Road Death.”
Speeding is not only reckless but also poses a significant risk to drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.
The driver will appear in court soon.
