TZANEEN-In an attempt to keep our roads safe, police officers from the Tzaneen cluster partnered with the Department of Transport and community safety in holding roadblocks along the Merensky crossing R36 and R71 on Friday.
A Joint operation “Vhutu Hawe ” has borne fruits with notable successes as fourteen (14) illegal immigrants were arrested of which one was also charged with failure to stop at a roadblock after a high-speed chase ensued and he was apprehended at Bolobedu policing area and his grey BMW was confiscated pending further investigation.

Meanwhile, the police also confirmed that a total of 51 summonses worth R11 500-00(eleven thousand five hundred rands only) were issued, and one vehicle was impounded and charged R5000-00(five thousand rands only) whilst another motorist paid a spot fine. #TzaneenVoice
