LEKHURENG VILLAGE – Tlou Koko, a 12-year-old girl from Lekhureng village in Matlala, Capricorn District, who was reportedly abducted by a Pakistani national known as Abdul, has been found in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Province.

The incident began when Tlou Koko left her home without informing anyone of her whereabouts, causing significant concern and distress among her family and community.

Initial reports indicated that Koko was last seen in the company of Abdul around the village. The situation took a bizarre turn when, on Monday, June 4, Koko called her mother claiming to be in America, deepening the family’s confusion and fear.

Matlala Police Station Commander, Colonel Matlou, confirmed that Tlou Koko has been found safe in Durban. He expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the search efforts. “We are thankful for the assistance from the community and various agencies that helped locate Tlou,” said Colonel Matlou.

He further mentioned that arrangements are being made to bring Koko back home. “We will be fetching her today and ensuring she is reunited with her family safely,” he added.

The police are continuing their investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding Koko’s disappearance and her time spent with Abdul. The details of how she ended up in Durban and the reasons behind her abduction are still unclear, and the authorities are working diligently to piece together the full story.
